Tulsa's Varsity 8+ earned a second-place finish in the final day of racing at the Tulsa Fall Invitational on Saturday morning on the Verdigris River in Catoosa, Okla.
"It was tough to finish second, but Kansas did a great job and rowed aggressively," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "We appreciate SMU and Kansas coming down to race this weekend. We had a good race, but not the race we wanted. We have to stay aggressive through two days of racing and we can learn from this. We had a good two days, and I like the attitude and work rate of our team, but we can't let up so now we'll work on getting faster for the spring.
