BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Tulsa's Marc Scott won the 5,000-meter run at the Hoosier Open on Friday evening, setting a new meet record.
Scott recorded a time of 13:38.87 in the event, breaking the record of 13:39.54 set by Diago Estrada of Northern Arizona in 2011.
The run marked the second fastest indoor time for Scott in the 5,000-meter, who holds the Tulsa record.
The Hurricane will be back in action tomorrow when they compete at the Crimson and Gold Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan.
