Manhattan, Kansas –– Tulsa junior Johanna Samuelsson turned in a career-best 2nd-place finish at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in leading the Golden Hurricane women golfers to a 3rd place performance in the second event of the fall season.
Samuelsson began the day in 4th place and moved up two spots with her best round of the tournament, a one-under par 71. She improved each of the three rounds by one stroke each day and finished with an even-par 216 total for the 54 holes.
As a team, Tulsa had a sub-300 round for the second time this week at the par-72 Colbert Hills Golf Course, shooting 299 on Tuesday to finish with an 899 score.
