IRVING, Texas –– Two Tulsa Golden Hurricane football players were named American Athletic Conference Players of the Week, while another earned weekly honor roll accolades, it was announced today by the league office.
Defensive tackle Jaxon Player was named the AAC's Defensive Player of the Week and Zack Long earned Special Teams Player of the Week merits.
In addition, Tulsa redshirt freshman punter Lachlan Wilson was chosen to the AAC weekly honor roll.
A 6'0' junior from Waco, Texas, Player led a Tulsa defense that was dominant in a 19-6 road win at Navy on Saturday.
