Tulsa's Madlen Markova recorded a sixth-place finish in the Women's Single Sculls event at the European Rowing U23 Championships in Duisburg, Germany, on Sunday morning, while Johanna Kristof claimed a second-place mark in the 'B' final in the same event.
Markova, representing Bulgaria, turned in a time of 8:07.23 in the 'A' Final, trailing Greece's Anneta Kyridou (7:39.60), Germany's Alexandra Foester (7:41.93), Russia's Anastasiia Liubich (7:50.04), Ireland's Claire Feerick (8:00.86) and Estonia's Greta Jaanson (8:06.16).
Representing her home country of Austria, Kristof finished in a time of 8:01.93 in the 'B' Final, trailing just Italy's Elisa Mondelli (7:59.
