University of Tulsa running back James Flanders was selected as the American Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.
Flanders, a 5'10", 203-pound senior from Midwest City, Okla., rushed for a career-high 249 yards, five touchdowns and a 7.5 average per carry on 33 carries in a 59-30 road win at Memphis on Saturday night. His five rushing touchdowns broke the school record of four which was established by Ron Jackson in the 1991 Freedom Bowl, and tied Keenan Reynolds (Navy, 2015) for the American Athletic Conference record for rushing touchdowns.
