Tulsa’s Jackson Named AAC’s Sixth Man of the Year; Rachal Earns Second Team Honors

FORT WORTH, Texas –– After leading the American Athletic Conference in field goal percentage this season, senior guard Darien Jackson was named The American's Sixth Man of the Year, it was announced today.

Senior guard Brandon Rachal was named AAC second team all-conference after averaging 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds a game during the season. He has now earned all-conference honors in each of his two seasons at Tulsa as he received third team accolades a year ago.

Jackson, who has come off the bench in 20 of 22 contests this season, shares the sixth man award with Memphis's Boogie Ellis.
