Tulsa’s Defense Shines in Spring Game

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team finished the spring season on Saturday afternoon with the Annual Spring Game at H.A. Chapman Stadium. A number of key players were held out out or played sparingly in the 76-play game.

Despite not forcing a turnover, the Hurricane defense had the advantage holding the offense to 16 points on a touchdown and three field goals. Tulsa's defensive unit had eight tackles for loss with five sacks, a pass breakup and limited the offense to 48 yards rushing on 30 carries.

Tulsa's offense was without or saw limited action today that combined for 2,749 all-purpose yards and 3,269 passing yards as well as 12 rushing, 18 passing and three receiving TDs in 2021.
