TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team began the 2016 season Friday, Jan. 8, as they played host to the Hurricane Invitational at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The invitational is a three-day competition and is set to conclude Sunday evening, and the teams that were invited include Wyoming, Oral Roberts, and Wichita State.
In singles play, seniors Saana Saarteinen and Renata Kuricova went 1-0, while juniors Rongrong Leenabanchong, Marcelina Cichon, Yelena Nemchen, and Mahitha Dadireddy went 1-0 as well.
