DALLAS, Texas – The University of Tulsa women's tennis squad wrapped up the first day of the Red and Blue Challenge, hosted by SMU, on Friday, as the team earned seven singles victories and a doubles win on the first day in Texas.
The lone doubles victory came as the first match of the day, as ITA Central Regional doubles champions Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner dispatched of Wyoming's Elisa Koonik and Tessa van Der Ploeg, 6-0.
In singles, Tulsa took on conference foes Wichita State. Okalova continued her momentum into her singles match, defeating Fatima Bizhukova, 7-6, 2-1 ret.
