West Lafayette, Ind. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated No. 43-ranked DePaul in a 4-0 decision Saturday afternoon at the Schwartz Tennis Center in the West Lafayette, Ind. The No. 37-ranked Golden Hurricane won the doubles point in the second and third flights. In singles play, flights four, five and six won clinching the TU victory, which also allowed for the first three flights not to finish play.
Tulsa improves to 8-1 overall, while DePaul falls to 2-5 overall.
In doubles play, TU earned an automatic victory in the third flight due to a DePaul walkover, and in the second flight Mahitha Dadireddy and Saana Saarteinen defeated Yuliya Shupenia and Milica Tesic in a 6-4 decision.
