CHARELSTON, S.C. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated Charleston Southern in a 6-1 decision at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex Tuesday afternoon. The No. 18 Golden Hurricane improves to 14-2 overall, while Charleston Southern falls to 7-1 overall.
Doubles play was controlled by Tulsa as Rongrong Leenabanchong and Martha Matoula (No. 2) defeated Brianna Thompson and Kimberley Koerner in a 6-1 decision. Ksenia Laskutova and Renata Kuricova (No. 1) defeated Valeria Koussenkova and Nicolin Luecke, 6-4, to clinch the doubles point giving Tulsa a 1-0 match lead going into singles play.
