Tulsa Head Coach Matilda Mossman and junior guard Erika Wakefield participated in the annual American Athletic Conference Basketball Media Day on Monday, October 24 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Coach Mossman and Wakefield met with ESPN, CBS and the American Digital Network, as well as local and national media, and helped with the community service project of packing backpacks for local children.
The American announced the 2016-17 Preseason Coaches' Poll at the event, where the Tulsa program was selected to finish ninth by the league's coaches. UConn, which has won four-straight NCAA Championships and all three American Athletic Conference Championships, was picked first.
