The Tulsa women's basketball team added junior-transfers Maya Mayberry and Sommer Blakemore to the 2020-21 roster, as announced today by Head Coach Matilda Mossman. The duo join the three 2020 freshmen signees, Makenna Burch, Olivia Clayton and Jessika Evans, that signed in the fall.
"With the graduation of Alexis Gaulden, we really needed some experience at the point guard position," Mossman said. "With Maya and Sommer, not only do we get experience, but we bring in individuals who are accustomed to leading their teams. After struggling to score from the perimeter last year, Maya and Sommer (along with early signee, Makenna Burch) give us a much-needed boost from the three-point line.
