The Tulsa women's golf team sits in sixth place with one round still to play at the American Athletic Conference Championships. The Hurricane carded a second-round score of 299 Monday for a 36-hole total of 15-over par 591 at the Hammock Beach Resort's par-72 Conservatory Course.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
The Hurricane fell two spots overall in the standings, dropping from fourth to sixth place with a round seven strokes over yesterday's opening 292. Houston overtook first-round leader UCF with a six-under par score of 282 on Monday. The Cougars have a one-stroke lead over the Knights (572 to 573), while SMU sits in third place with a score of 580.
