ORLANDO, Fla. – The third-seeded Tulsa men's basketball team opens the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship Friday in the quarterfinal round against sixth-seeded Memphis at 8 p.m. CT at the Amway Center.
The Golden Hurricane (20-10, 12-6 American Athletic Conference) has won 12 of its last 16 games, including an 84-74 win over USF on Saturday at the Reynolds Center. The Tigers (17-14, 8-10 American) defeated East Carolina, 83-53, on Sunday. TU and Memphis met just 11 days ago in Memphis, and the Tigers won that game, 92-82.
The game will be broadcast on Big Country 99.
