WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The University of Tulsa volleyball team earned two wins at the Purdue Reamer Club Xtra Special Premier on Friday. The Golden Hurricane kicked off the season with a sweep against Bowling Green (25-21, 25-12, 25-22), followed by a four-set victory against Wofford (25-22, 25-17, 20-25, 25-22).

TU (2-0) swept Bowling Green, 3-0, in its first match of 2018 at the Purdue Premier. Tulsa improved to 1-0 in a match against a Bowling Green squad that went 17-12 just a season ago.
In the first set, the Golden Hurricane saw production from preseason all-conference honorees Emily Thorson and Taylor Horsfall, taking the set 25-21.
