SAN MARCOS, Texas – The University of Tulsa Volleyball team won three straight sets on Friday afternoon to defeat Kennesaw State at the Creeds and Crests Classic, 3-1. The Hurricane (3-1 overally) outscored the Owls 18-5 in the third set to break the 1-1 tie in the only set that was not decided by two points.
Tulsa found themselves down early after a sloppy start in the first set, eventually falling behind 19-12 before putting together a 13-4 set-clinching run. After a kill from Emily Thorson, senior Trinity Alualu racked up three straight service aces to force a Kennesaw State (1-4 overall) timeout.
