TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa volleyball team was swept by South Dakota in the final game of the Hurricane Classic at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Saturday afternoon.
Tulsa (2-1) used a 4-0 early in the first set to gain a 7-5 advantage before South Dakota (2-1) rattled off five straight to go ahead 12-8. Sophomore Rachel Moore brought the Hurricane within one with one of her four kills on the day at 16-15 before the Coyotes pulled away for a 25-21 set win.
A tightly contested second set start, TU grabbed a two point lead after a Moore kill and USD error at 10-8.
