CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Tulsa volleyball squad (17-8, 9-4) fell to Cincinnati (21-6, 11-2), 3-0, in a road match on Sunday in Cincinnati's newly-renovated Fifth Third Arena.
The first set comprised of streaks from both teams, with the Bearcats managing to hold on and edge out Tulsa in the first frame, 25-23. Sophomore and freshman tallied four kills each to pace the Hurricane, who hit an efficient .342 as a team in the set.
Tulsa struggled to find a rhythm in the second frame, as Cincinnati secured the set, 25-15. Despite dropping the set, Tulsa showed its prowess at the net, racking up three total team blocks in the stanza.
