TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa volleyball team fell to UCF [17-25, 13-25, 23-25] in straight sets on Sunday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
For the Golden Hurricane (12-9, 5-3 The American), the loss is TU's first in the American Athletic Conference to an eastern division team. The Knights (14-6, 7-1) improved their winning streak to five matches. UCF trails Tulsa in the all-time series 12-8, but is now 5-1 in the last six contests.
The two teams combined for 14 ties and nine lead changes, including six lead changes in the final set.
The Golden Hurricane nearly erased a five-point deficit in the third set.
