TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa track and field squad heads to Birmingham, Alabama, for the American Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, scheduled to compete all day Friday and Saturday inside the Birmingham Crossplex.
A season ago at the conference meet, Ben Preisner completed a trio of titles, taking home the 3,000 meter (8:12.89), 5,000 meter (14:09.90) and distance medley relay (10:01.07) golds.
In addition, Preisner broke his own meet record in the 5,000-meter run, a mark he set in his sophomore season. The Canada native will look to complete the three-peat this weekend in his last year of eligibility.
