TULSA, Okla. – After a days delay due to inclement weather, the preliminary round of the 2016 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, is now underway at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan. The University of Tulsa track and field has six athletes competing on Friday.
Earlier this morning, junior Luke Traynor registered a fifth place finish in the men's 10,000-meter run with a time of 29:53.17. Traynor's top-5 finish was enough to advance him to the next round in Eugene, Ore. His teammate, senior Tim Rackers, clocked a 35th place time of 30:48.
