STORRS, Conn. – Tulsa volleyball (10-12, 4-6 American) was in action on Sunday, as they took to the road for a conference matchup with the UConn Huskies (10-12, 3-6 American). led the Golden Hurricane with 16 kills, as TU swept the Huskies, 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-18).
With the score tied at 3-3 in the first, the Hurricane went on a 4-0 run to take a 7-3 lead. The Golden Hurricane added another 4-0 run to extend its lead to 14-7. TU went on to win the first set, 25-20. Emily Thorson notched five kills in the first set to lead all attackers.
