DALLAS, Texas – The Golden Hurricane (15-17, 9-11 American) closed out the season Friday with a conference road match against SMU (21-10, 15-5 American). Emily Thorson had a match-high 18 kills, as Tulsa knocked off the Mustangs, 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-22).
With the Hurricane on top 15-13, TU went on a 4-0 run to extend its lead to 19-13. Tulsa used the momentum to win the first set, 25-18. Rachel Moore posted a set-high six kills and Emily Thorson added five kills.
