GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Tulsa Softball Team guaranteed themselves at least a share of the American Athletic Conference regular season title as they defeated East Carolina 3-1 in 12 innings on Saturday afternoon for their ninth straight win. The Hurricane (35-13 Overall, 12-1 The American) out-hit the Pirates (25-28 Overall, 5-12 The American) 12 to two in the contest, sending the game into extra innings with one run in the sixth before plating two in the 12th and final frame.
Eight different hitters in Tulsa's lineup put together base hits while Morgan Neal and Tori Stafford paced the offense with three hits each.
