TULSA, Okla. –– It was another extremely hot day on the Tulsa campus as the Golden Hurricane football team went through a 140-minute practice with 100-degree temperature from start to the finish. The heat index started at 112 when the Hurricane hit the field and topped out at 114 heat index at the end.
Despite the heat, Tulsa head coach Philip Montgomery was pleased with today's practice.
"Prep is going good. We were better today. It was another hot day., but I thought we handled it much better. With a change in schedule, day 2 is always better.
