Tulsa Picks Up Big Marks at Iowa State Classic, Indoor Gorilla Classic

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa track and field team wrapped up a loaded weekend, taking part in the Iowa State Classic and Indoor Gorilla Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Caitlin Klopfer picked up the most notable mark of the weekend for the Golden Hurricane at the Iowa State Classic, running 16:28.82 in the 3,000 meters for the second-place finish, along with the third-best time in indoor school history in the event.

On the men's side, Scott Beattie also managed a historic time for TU in the 5,000 meters, going 13:59.
