The Tulsa football team practiced at H.A. Chapman Stadium Saturday afternoon for 110 minutes on the first day of pads. Rain forced a delay in start time and moved the Hurricane to the turf instead of the grass at Harwell Field.
"There was a little more excitement with putting on pads," said Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery. "I think with the change of schedule, and having to bump things around that kind of took some of the juice out of the first day of pads, just because you're all revved up for it this morning, and then weather happens like it does.
