Tulsa Men’s Tennis Suffer Road Loss to New Mexico Sunday Afternoon

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – On Sunday afternoon, The University of Tulsa men's tennis team suffered a 4-3 road loss to the New Mexico Lobos at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium. The No. 18 Golden Hurricane falls to 14-11 overall, while New Mexico improves to 14-13 overall.

New Mexico controlled doubles play as Hayden Sabatka and Bart Van Leijsen (No. 1) defeated Matthew Kirby and Okkie Kellerman, 6-3, to take a 1-0 doubles point lead. Jorge Escutia and Ricky Hernandez-Tong (No. 3) of New Mexico defeated Majed Kilani and Juan Matias Gonzalez, 7-6, to clinch the doubles point and take a 1-0 match lead going into singles play.
