ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team defeated the No. 31-ranked Washington Huskies in a 4-1 decision Saturday afternoon at the Varsity Tennis Center. The No. 22-ranked Golden Hurricane improves to an overall 7-3 record, while the Huskies fall to 9-3 overall.
Doubles play was a battle between the two teams as Okkie Kellerman and Matthew Kirby (No. 1) defeated Piers Foley and Wendell Watanabe, 6-4, before Washington's Kawika Lam and Enzo Sommer (No. 2) battled back to defeat Carlos Bautista and Juan Matias Gonzalez, 6-3, to tie the doubles score at 1-1.
