TULSA, Okla. – Jarod Hing, a highly-touted tennis athlete from Horizon High School in Phoenix, Ariz., signed a national letter-of-intent to continue his education and tennis career at The University of Tulsa, Head Coach Vince Westbrook announced today.
In his first year as a USTA 18-and-under player, Hing was ranked second in the Boys 18's Singles Southwest section, and 50th nationally. He won 17 consecutive matches to begin the 2015-16 season and has won three Arizona Junior Championships.
As a prep athlete, Hing was crowned the 2015 Arizona Division I High School State Champion after turning in an undefeated season.
