Or Ram-Harel and Juan Matias Gonzalez (No. 2) defeated Virginia's No. 7 nationally ranked doubles team Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Mac Styslinger, 6-4, to give Tulsa an early advantage. Luca Corintelli and Ryan Shane of Virginia (No. 1) defeated Matthew Kirby and Dylan McCloskey, 6-4, to tie the double match at 1-1.
