The Tulsa men's soccer team dropped a 6-2 decision to #4-ranked Maryland in an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The teams battled for three 35-minute periods, which is unlike the two-45 minute periods of the regular season.
Junior defender Zack Stavrou put the Golden Hurricane on the board first as he scored on a corner kick taken by senior midfielder Ray Saari with just 1:45 ticked off the clock.
The Terrapins' Sebastian Elney evened the score nearly 38 minutes later as he put one into the back of the net after dribbling around two defenders.
