PHILADELPHIA — Senior Ben Preisner finished in third place to lead The University of Tulsa men's cross country team to its fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday morning at Belmont Plateau. The TU women's team finished in fourth place.
With a time of 25:12.5, Preisner recorded the third top-3 finish at the conference meet of his career to lead the Golden Hurricane to its eighth consecutive conference title, dating back to its time as a member of Conference USA. The team won the championship with 53 points to top UConn, which totaled 63 points in second place.
