TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's tennis team claimed its first win of the season with a 6-1 decision over Illinois State on Friday afternoon.
The Hurricane captured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 slots. Tulsa's 29th-ranked doubles team of Connor Di Marco and Kody Pearson jumped out to a 5-1 lead and closed the match at 6-2 for the first of Tulsa's two doubles victories.
Boriss Kamdem and Thomas Thelwall-Jones posted a 6-4 victory at the No. 3 position to give the Hurricane a 1-0 lead in the match.
