TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa football squad practiced for two hours Saturday morning on Harwell Field, in what was the second day back after a nine-day layoff.
"I thought we were just sharper today. Yesterday felt like a day one all over again. Today, we saw a really good progression in things. Depths in routes, guys understanding where to get to and, defensively, we did a much better job of getting aligned and being ready to play defense," said Montgomery.
"It was good to get back in the flow," added Montgomery. "Obviously, we had a lot of meeting time the past week but doing it on the field is something different and it was good to see the guys carry a lot of that knowledge back today.
