For the first time since the 2016 season Tulsa's starting quarterback will be the same for a second straight season.
Zach Smith (6-3, 227) returns as the starting quarterback for the Hurricane, but he's not the only returning signal-caller with starting experience. Junior Seth Boomer (6-3, 208) started eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2018.
"It's such a benefit to have your quarterback returning and having that starter back makes other players continue to elevate their game," said Montgomery.
"This is the best overall QB room we've had since I've been here.
