WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Golden Hurricane volleyball team fell to No. 23 Purdue in the Reamer Club Premier championship match in Holloway Gym on Saturday, 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-23).
Despite the loss, the match marks the third time in head coach ' five-year tenure the team has started the season 2-1.
The Boilermakers handled the first set, 25-9, despite freshman making her first collegiate start. Senior led the Tulsa attack with three kills on six attempts. Freshman continued her stellar performance from Friday, adding two kills on six tries.
In set two, Purdue again pulled away after a back-and-forth battle in the first half of the set, taking the frame, 25-11.
