Tulsa Falls to No. 21 LSU in First Round of NCAA Tournament on Saturday, 4-3

BERKELEY, Calif. — The 40th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team took the first three points of the day only to see No. 21 LSU storm back to take a 4-3 decision in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Division I Championships on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Hurricane (20-8), who made their 11th consecutive NCAA appearance, saw their season come to an end, while the Tigers (15-10) advance to Sunday's second round.

Tulsa started the match strong by winning the doubles point. The LSU duo of Skylar Holloway and Jessica Golovin won on the No. 3 court, but the Hurricane stormed back to take the point as Rongrong Leenabanchong and Martha Matoula defeated Jade Lewis and Rebecca Weissmann, 6-2, before Ksenia Laskutova and Mahitha Dadireddy downed the No.
