Erika Wakefield had a team-best 18 points, but it wasn't enough as Tulsa dropped a 76-68 decision to crosstown rival Oral Roberts on Thursday night in the PSO Mayor's Cup at the Mabee Center on the ORU campus. The Golden Hurricane fell to 1-2 on the season, while the Golden Eagles moved to 1-2 overall.
"It is disappointing because our coaches worked really hard to come up with a game plan," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said. "We knew exactly what they were going to do, but we had guys that didn't buy in to what we wanted to do defensively so therefore we couldn't stop them.
