The Tulsa men's soccer team tied #8 Notre Dame, but failed to advance after a penalty kick shootout, 3-0, in the NCAA Championship Second Round on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium in South Bend, Ind. TU ended the season with an 8-6-7 mark, while UND moved to 11-4-6 overall.
Jeffrey Farina put the Fighting Irish on the board as he scored from six yards out on a cross from Max Lachowecki at the 23:15 mark and Notre Dame took a 1-0 advantage into the break.
Juan Sanchez was able to get the equalizer in the 62nd minute as he knocked the ball in from a foot out off a shot taken by Geoffrey Dee that bounced off the post.
