Tulsa's 23rd-ranked men's soccer team earned a 2-1 double-overtime win over New Mexico on Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 3-1-1 on the season, while the Lobos fell to 2-3 overall.
"It was a tremendous performance from our guys throughout the entire game," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "New Mexico is a very good team and well organized defensively. We had to be patient in terms of our build-up, but our goals were a tremendous piece of work by all the attacking players. We controlled 80-percent of the game, but it was hard work.
