WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Tulsa women's tennis team's historic season came to an end on Thursday, in the NCAA Sweet 16. The Golden Hurricane fell to Florida State, 4-3, at the North Carolina Tennis Complex.
"You have to give Florida State a lot of credit for fighting back the way they did after losing the doubles point and being down 3-2. They never went away and it was a great win on their part. We thought we had a team that could go deep here, but we came up a little short. When we do have time to reflect on the season, it was a solid season to be conference champions and make the Sweet 16," said Head Coach Dean Orford.
