The Tulsa women's basketball team held Binghamton scoreless for the final five minutes of the contest and earned a 60-55 win on Tuesday night in the 40th annual Great Alaska Shootout at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage, Alaska. TU moved to 3-2 on the season, picking up their third-straight win, while BU fell to 3-2 overall.
"I am really proud of the way this group handled the last five minutes of the game," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said. "The game kept going back and forth, but Shug [Dickson] held her composure really well, Erika [Wakefield] showed why she is a senior leader and Crystal [Polk], after missing some early shots bounced back in the second half and did some scoring for us.
