Tulsa closed out the UTSA Classic this weekend with a 10-1 run-rule game over host UTSA at Roadrunner Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Hurricane improved its record to 8-2 after two weeks of the season. Tulsa went 5-0 this weekend with wins over Virginia, North Dakota, Texas A&M-CC and twice against the host Roadrunners.
Caitlin Sill pitched a two-hitter, allowing UTSA's only run to come on a Kaley Pyles home run for a 1-0 Roadrunner lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Tulsa bats came alive in the top of the third with four runs on five hits, while three UTSA errors kept the inning alive for the Hurricane.
