FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Tulsa track & field team was in action Saturday at the John McDonnell Invitational, hosted by Arkansas.
Carsyn Spurgeon won the women's heptathlon with a total of 4,520 points. In the 200-meters, Spurgeon recorded a time of 25.29. She ran the 800-meters in 2:49.06 and added a 15.66 time in the 100-meter hurdles. In the high jump, she posted a jump of 1.54 meters (5-00.50) and added a leap of 5.60 meters (18-04.50) in the long jump. In the shot put she posted a toss of 10.00 meters (32-09.75) and added a throw of 31.
