WICHITA, Kan. – The Tulsa softball team fell at Wichita State, 11-3, in nonconference action Wednesday evening at C. Howard Wilkins Stadium.
Freshman first baseman Tori Stafford hit her first career home run, a two-run shot in the second inning, to lead the Golden Hurricane (23-7). Senior catcher Catherine Horner went 3-for-3 at the plate, and senior center fielder Jodi Edmiston was 2-for-3 and scored a run.
The Shockers (18-12) scored six runs in the fifth inning to pull away from a 5-3 lead to end the game.
