MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tulsa softball team fell at Memphis, 5-2, in the series finale Sunday afternoon at the Memphis Softball Complex.
The Golden Hurricane fell to 29-17 overall and 6-9 in the American Athletic Conference, while the Tigers improved to 26-27 overall and 7-8 in league play. It was the first time Tulsa has lost a series to Memphis.
Tulsa tied the score at 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning on left fielder Maddie Withee's two-run single, but Memphis scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to move ahead, 5-2.
