TULSA, Okla. –– University of Tulsa junior running back Shamari Brooks was named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll for his performance this past weekend.
Brooks, from Tulsa's Union High School, rushed for a season-high 140 yards on 29 carries and scored Tulsa's first touchdown on a 9-yard run in Tulsa's 34-16 road win over San Jose State. It was the 9th career 100+ rushing game for Brooks, while the TD was the 18th of his career.
Tulsa will open the home season this Saturday at H.
